Employment

Supported Employment provides an individual with the training necessary to obtain their career goals. Our Agency will provide short and long-term support to work with people who are self-employed, work in a community business as a paid employee, or who are in a work program designed through person centered planning to achieve gainful employment.

    Our Supported Employment program includes a comprehensive vocational assessment, work skills training, volunteer activities to gain work experience, training in acceptable work behaviors, appropriate personal and professional presentation for a job interview and employment, job coaching services, on-the-job training in community businesses, and more.

    The Human Development Council also is licensed through the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) to provide job development and job coaching support to individuals seeking community employment.
