HDC maintains homes in both Washington and Frederick counties that we use for Respite Services. Our Agency works closely with each individual’s family to ensure they can receive the temporary relief they need while knowing their family member is safe and happy within a safe and nourishing environment.

  • Relax. They're In.

    They're in Human's Hands

Respite services may not exceed 45 days in a year or 28 consecutive days. To ensure the health and safety of the individual, WCHDC requires current health information, emergency information, and all other essential information (which may include the IP and BSP) in order to serve properly the respite individual. Staffing will be arranged by the Agency in order to meet the required staffing levels according to the IP.

Human Development Council day services, employment services, transportation services, and administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 25th, due to the snow and ice forcast. Stay safe everyone!
